Geodynamics is building Australia's first hot dry rock geothermal zero emission power plant right here in the cooper basin SA, the hottest place on earth outside of volcanic centres. The system works by pumping water into a underground heat exchanger made from heat-bearing granites 4900 metres underground. The superheated water is then used to drive a standard binary power plant.
